Medicare coverage is based on Medical Necessity which is determined by your medical professional, at the time transport is needed. Several requirements have been made in order to deem a patient "Medically Necessary" with consideration to incurred transport costs. The following list are some of the common disqualifiers Medicare has indicated, that does not allow the cost of transportation to be covered via their Medicare Insurance Plan.
